In order for Unionen to succeed with what we want to improve in the labour market, we need many members. Recruiting new members is therefore a central part of activities in Unionen, in order to become more powerful in the Swedish labour market.
Unionen takes a number of actions with the purpose of recruiting new members. Within the framework of these activities, personal data are processed in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679/EU ("GDPR") and the supplementary Swedish Data Protection Act (2018:218).
For processing as described in this text, Unionen, CRN 802001-5759 (hereinafter "Unionen", "we" or "us") are responsible for your personal data.
You will find information below on how Unionen processes personal data on potential members within the framework of its recruitment activities.
Unionen takes your privacy very seriously. Your personal data will be treated with care and in accordance with legislative requirements. Personal data that Unionen may process about you for recruitment purposes can be obtained from a number of different sources.
The personal data we receive from other sources than yourself may include names, personal identity number, contact details such as your phone number, address, e-mail address and information on other digital contact paths. We may also collect data on your education and related matters from educational institutions.

The following applies to the processing of personal data that Unionen carries out with your consent.
Giving your consent to the processing of personal data is always voluntary.
You can withdraw your consent for specific processing at any time. Such a withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of our processing your personal data before your consent was withdrawn.
If you do not consent to certain processing or you withdraw consent which you have previously given, we will not process your personal data for the purpose in question.

If Unionen engages personal data processors outside the EU and EEA we will take appropriate protective measures to ensure that your rights and freedoms are safeguarded, such as through standardised data protection agreements.
Your personal data will be stored during the time that Unionen is obliged to save the data in accordance with applicable laws and/or collective agreements.
For personal data/processing where there is no legal or collectively agreed obligation or regulation to define a certain period of time for the storage of your personal data, the principle used to determine the storage period is that your personal data will not be stored for longer than is necessary for the purposes for which the data are processed.
In cases where there is no previous relationship between Unionen and you as a potential member, your personal data are deleted as soon as possible after they have been used. Personal data are not saved for recruiting purposes for longer than three (3) months from the date on which they were obtained.
Unionen takes appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised sharing, unauthorised access and other unlawful or unauthorised methods of processing personal data.
We apply special procedures and systems to protect against unauthorized access to your personal data. Access to your personal data only takes place by personnel who are specifically listed and subcontractors to Unionen who are governed by special agreements. In order to further regulate access to your personal data, we have created different authorisation levels for case types and tasks. The system is also protected against unauthorised access by firewalls, among other methods.
Personal data saved in the form of documents that are manually processed are kept in locked rooms with limited access. All of the personnel at Unionen and employees of subcontractors who are granted access to your personal data are obliged to keep your data confidential.
